双十一购物狂欢节，英语怎么说？

大名鼎鼎的“十一购物狂欢节”，今年可谓是火上加火啊，但是关于双11相关的历史和词汇用英语怎么说呢？

11月11号，最早被称为单身节，又称光棍节或双11，是中国的一个非官方节日和购物季，主要是庆祝那些还没有恋爱关系的单身青年们。之所以选择11月11日（11/11）作为光棍节，是因为在中国，数字“1”类似于“光棍”，这是一个中文网络俚语，指的是单身男子，他不结婚，因此不能在家谱中增加“分支”。这四个“1”也抽象地指单身人口群体。具有讽刺意味的是，这个节日也成为人们庆祝恋情的一个流行日期（比如“结对单身”），2011年北京有超过4000对新人在这一天结婚，远远超过每天700对的平均结婚人数。
The Singles' Day or Double 11, originally called Bachelors' Day, is a Chinese unofficial holiday and shopping season that celebrates people who are not in relationships. The date, 11 November (11/11), was chosen because the number "1" resembles a "bare stick" , which is a Chinese Internet slang for a single man who doesn't marry and thus can't add 'branches' to the family tree. The four "1"s also abstractly refer to the demographic group of single people. The holiday has ironically also become a popular date to celebrate relationships (as to "pair up singles"), with over 4,000 couples being married in Beijing on this date in 2011, far greater than the daily average of 700 marriages.
光棍节已成为全球最大的零售和网络购物节日，阿里巴巴在2018年光棍节当天的消费总额超过2135亿元人民币（307亿美元）。竞争对手京东也举办了为期11天的购物节，总收入高达191亿美元，使得中国的总销售额达到445亿美元。在2019年，阿里巴巴表示，整个光棍节活动的商品总金额为2684亿元人民币（384亿美元），比上年增长26%。
The holiday has become the largest physical retail and online shopping day in the world. Alibaba shoppers exceeded 213.5 billion yuan (USD $30.7 billion) in total spend during 2018 Singles Day. Rival JD.com hosts an eleven-day shopping festival as well, which garnered USD $19.1 billion, bringing the Chinese total to USD $44.5 billion total sales volume. In 2019, Alibaba said that its gross merchandise volume for the whole event came in at 268.4 billion yuan (USD $38.4 billion), an increase of 26% from the previous year.

Known in China as "bare sticks holiday" because of how it looks numerically, Singles' Day began as an anti-Valentine's Day when students at Nanjing University started celebrating their singledom.
2009年，它被电子商务巨头阿里巴巴（中国相当于亚马逊）采用，现在它已经成为每个人，不管他们的单身身份，给自己买礼物的日子。
It was then adopted by e-commerce giant Alibaba (China's equivalent of Amazon) in 2009 and it has now become a day when everyone, regardless of their single status, buys themselves gifts.
由于中国的性别不平衡，这一天也被称为光棍节。该国的独生子女政策在2015年结束，支持二孩政策，加上要求孩子生儿子的文化和经济压力，导致男性过剩。
It's also known as Bachelors' Day because of China's gender imbalance. The country's one-child policy, which it ended in 2015 in favour of a two-child policy, along with the cultural and economic pressures for that child to be a son, has led to a male surplus.

Out of China’s population of 1.4 billion, there are nearly 34 million more men than women. By 2030, it is estimated that one-in-four Chinese men in their late 30s will never have married.

Alibaba chiefs spotted the commercial opportunity in Singles' Day back in 2009 and began launching “Double 11” deals just as online shopping was starting to explode. It was also seen as a chance to boost sales in the lull between China’s Golden Week national holiday in October and the Christmas season.

In that first year consumers spent 50 million yuan (about £5m) and 27 merchants offered discounts. By 2011 – which was dubbed the Singles' Day of the Century because it was 11.11.11 – more than £500m was spent across Alibaba's platform during the day.
