Database

This database patch for P6 EPPM is intended to update an existing 19.12.0.0 database to P6 EPPM Release 19.12.11.0 (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server are supported).

Update Database 数据库升级，通过DBSetup'

To update your database using full DB installer, do the following:

Note: If using an ORACLE Database, prior to installing your P6 EPPM database to P6 19.12.11.0, execute the manual_script_before_install.sql script "as SYSDBA" from \database\scripts\install\PM_19_12_11 directory.If using non-default names (ADMUSER, PRIVUSER, PUBUSER, PXRPTUSER),replace users with corresponding non default users in each scripts using a text editor.

Note: Dbsetup uses Java, and is based on an existing "JAVA_HOME" variable being set from wherever it is being launched. If a variable is not present, the dbsetup file should be modified to set the JAVA_HOME variable.

Perform a cold backup of your current database, and, for an Oracle database, a full database export.

If you are unsure how to back up your Oracle database, do not proceed with the update. Contact your database administrator, your database vendor, or Oracle Global Customer Support for assistance in backing up your database before performing the database update. Also, ensure that you are familiar with the process of restoring the backup copy of the database in case you need to do so.
Download the P6EPPM-1912110.zip, copy to local drive and browse to the P6EPPM-1912110/database directory of the extracted contents
Double-click dbsetup.bat or execute dbsetup.sh to start the wizard.
Follow the steps in the wizard to update your database. For details on using the wizard, see the "Automatic Database Upgrade" chapter in the P6 EPPM Administrator's Guide.
Verify that the database has been updated properly by executing procedure mentioned in the Document - How To: Determine Which Service Pack Has Been Applied To The Database If The Schema Build Number Does Not Change (Doc ID 1301555.1). The output should be ' '10-November-2020'.
If using an ORACLE Database, after updating your P6 EPPM database to P6 19.12.11.0, execute the manual_script_after_upgrade.sql script "as SYSDBA" from \database\scripts\install\PM_19_12_11 directory. P6 EPPM Server Components

Automated Patching using Patch Utility 通过Patch工具升级P6服务

These instructions are for using the patch utility supplied along with this patch-set and is the recommended approach for updating P6 EPPM to current patch-set.

Note :

Please set the JAVA_HOME environmental variable before invoking Patch Utility
Provide read/write permissions for Linux users in the Oracle Inventory folder.
If you are using boot.properties, the file should exist in the default folder (that is, DOMAIN_HOME/servers/AdminServer/security folder).
Note: Please check with your administrator about creation & usage of boot.properties
If Customer is using SSL to connect to weblogic server, server certificates should be imported to JAVA before running the Patching Utility
Patch Utility will apply patch to your P6 EPPM directory for Web, API, TM, WS, ProCloudConnect components. you can select individual components in custom mode or choose apply patch for all components through Typical mode.

Note : Follow any one (not both) from the below provisioned options i.e., either 'Applying Patch for WebLogic using Patch Utility' or 'Applying Patch for WebLogic using Oracle Enterprise Manager' while applying 19.12.11.0 patch for server components in WebLogic Server.

Executing from Wizard & Command Line

Notes:

Note: To get cfg version updated to 19.1211 in bootstrap , please generate the Bootstrap using dbconfigpv.cmd/dbconfigpv.sh and restart the servers.

Ensure all managed servers which have a P6 EPPM deployment installed are in a running state.
Extract the compressed file (zip) for the patch set.
Browse to $patch_media_home/P6EPPM-$Version/PatchUtility/$Operating_System/install
Launch runInstaller.cmd/.sh
On the "welcome" screen, click next.
On the "Specify P6 Installed Location" screen of the patch utility:
- Enter the path for "Primavera P6 Home" (example: G:\P6EPPM_1)
- Enter the path for "Patch Source" (entering a valid path to the patch source. This is the parent directory which contains the P6 EPPM Product directories, such as WEB, TM, etc. For example, r19.12.11.0: C:\p32144934_191200_Generic\P6EPPM-1912110\P6EPPM-1912110
- Keep Typical selected if all P6 EPPM components are installed or Custom if only a select amount of P6 EPPM web applications were installed.
Click Next
On the "Specify Weblogic Server Details" screen, enter the required information for the P6 EPPM domain, then click next. Note, example for WebLogic Server directory = C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\wlserver Ensure that "Force - acquire lock" is selected when updating the deployments
On the "Patch Summary" screen, click Install.
- Providing incorrect locations in the above steps will result in patching failure. Hence all the input locations should be accurate as suggusted.

P6 Professional for EPPM

P6 Professional Patch Update P6 Professional升级，安装新的Professional软件

Notes:

This installer will update P6 Professional files for the P6 Professional for EPPM release. If you have run the Setup.exe installer already with the P6 Professional release, then you can skip following steps.
If existing P6 Professional installation has Job Service installed, this service should be stopped and removed from existing Windows services before running Setup.exe.

Open Folder \P6ProForEPPM.
Execute Setup.exe to start installation. Follow the wizard.

Patch Update Verification 升级后校验，忽略

To ensure patch update is successful, verify below for the components

P6 Web, login screen build Number should be Version 19.12.11.0 (B091) 11.11.2020.1548 b1121aa49cc0
P6 TM, login screen build number should be Version 19.12.11.0 (B083) 11.11.2020.0418 b090a057a7f5
P6 WS, open p6ws.ear\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF file and should find attribute "WebLogic-Application-Version: 19.12.11.0
P6 API, open PrimaveraAPI.war\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF OR intgserver.jar\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF file and should find attribute "WebLogic-Application-Version: 19.12.11.0"
P6ProCloudConnect, open p6procloudconnect.war\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF file and should find attribute "WebLogic-Application-Version: 19.12.11.0"
P6jobservices, open url http://host:port/p6jobservices version should be 19.12.11.0 (b1121aa49cc0) "
For P6 Professional for EPPM, In Launcher Window, the version should be displayed as 'Release(19.12.11.37528)'.
