Growing flowers in your heart

An aged man lived in a nice cottage（小屋、别墅） with a large garden in a town in England. He is seen busy looking after his flowers all time.

第一部分介绍的是: 有一个老人在英格兰的镇上有一个带大花园的屋子，他一直在忙着照顾他的花朵们。

One day a young painter went by his garden. He was deeply attracted by the beautiful flowers, imaging how happy he could be if he lived there. Then, suddenly he found the old gardener was blind.

The painter was very surprised to ask, "why are you busy tending(照顾) these flowers which you can't see?"

一个画家经过他的花园后，被这美丽的景象所深深地吸引住，但是他很不解这个老人看不见还一直在照顾着这些花儿。

The blind gardener smiled, answering,"I can tell you four reasons, First, I was a gardener when I was young, I really like this job. Second , although I can't see these flowers, yet I can touch them. Third, I can smell the sweetness of them. As the last one, it's you."

老人说明自己种这些花儿的4个原因，最后一个原因是因为画家。

"But you don't know me ." responed the painter.

"Yeah , It's true that I don't know you, but these flowers are earthly angels which everybody knows and people would never turn them down, I know many people who show enthusiasm in life would stop by and the beauty of my garden will get them into a good mood. In the meantime, it extends a chance to have a word with you here and enjoy the happiness these flowers have brought us ."

老人在此解释道 : "每个人都可以来这里欣赏这些花儿的美丽，特别是那些热爱生活的人都会为此驻足！"

I believe every flower has eyes with which they can see the kindness of the old man's heart and the sweetness of his soul. I suppose although failing the sight of the beauty of blossoms, he surely can hear the voice of it.

我们为老人的心地善良和纯粹的灵魂所折服，虽然他看不见这些花，但是他能听到和感觉到这些花绽放的声音。
