如何安装 Linux 下的 Adobe Reader

PDF文档是网上最流行的文件格式之一，但是 Linux 下的一些PDF文件阅读软件并不是十分完善，Adobe 公司提供的官方 PDF 阅读软件，界面与使用方法与 Windows 下非常相似，所以我们给出安装方法，为了使机器上的所有用户都可以使用，我们以 root 身份来安装，安装路径为： /usr/local/

1，去 adobe 公司主页 http://www.adobe.com 点击页面左边的 get Adobe Reader 图标下载Adobe Reader 软件

2，页面正中间显示：

Step 1 of 2

Choose your language,platform,and connection speed. Your selection willdetermine the version of software that you will download.

Language Platform Connection speed

English Linux broadband

如果选择 Chinese(Simplified)，则会出现下面的画面：

Based on your language and/or platform selections, Adobe Reader isunavailable.

所以，我们选择 English Linux broadband

出现如下画面：

You will download the most current version of the Adobe Reader that isavailable for your language and/or platform selection.

This version may not include all of the features and capabilities available inAdobe Reader 6.0.

Download file size: 8.9MB

Download file: Acrobat Reader 5.0.9

点击红色的 download 按钮

3，出现下载任务管理器，我们保存在 /tmp/adobe 下面，文件名是：linux-509.tar.gz

4，下载完后，运行 tar 命令解包：

tar -xvzf linux-509.tar.gz

直接解压在本目录下这些文件:COMMON.TAR INSTALL LICREAD.TXTLINUXRDR.TAR MANIFEST README

5，运行安装命令

./INSTALL

画面出现：

ADOBE SYSTEMS INCORPORATED

End User License Agreement

....................................

很长，按空格或者回车向下翻页，在底部可以看到

To accept the terms and conditions of this agreement enter "accept"

To decline the terms and conditions of this agreement enter "decline"

Please type "accept" to accept the terms and conditions license agreement;Type "decline" to exit.

根据提示，输入 accept 回车

This installation requires 25MB of free disk space.

Enter installation directory for Acrobat 5.0.9 [/usr/local/Acrobat5]

根据提示，回车即可

Directory "/usr/local/Acrobat5" does not exist.

Do you want to create it now? [y]

根据提示，输入 Y

Installing platform independent files ... Done

Installing platform dependent files ...Done

6，安装结束了

7，运行 /usr/local/Acrobat5/bin/acroread 是不是出来一个图形界面，然您点 Accept Cancel 来同意最总用户许可协议？呵呵，可以浏览 PDF 文档喽，是不是跟 Windows 下的很相似？

8，如果您的系统已经安装了中文支持，，那么现在中文也可以正常使用了，如果您没有安装，那么还得继续下面的步骤。

9，安装 Asian Language Kit 从 http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/cjkfontpack.html下载，页面会自动跳转到 http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrasianfontpack.html

10，页面有如下选择，第一个选项是我们要选择的：

Which font pack do you need?

Version： Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.X Adobe Reader 6.0

Language： Chinese Simplified Chinese Traditional Japanese Korean

Platform： UNIX Windows

点击 Download 按钮开始下载，下载管理其自动打开并保存文件 chsfont.tar.gz

11，运行 tar 命令解包：

tar -xvzf chsfont.tar.gz

自动新建目录 CHSKIT

cd CHSKIT

包含文件为：INSTLANG LANGCHS.TAR LANGCOM.TAR LICFONT.TXT

12，运行安装命令：

./INSTLANG

屏幕出现：

Welcome to the Asian Language Kit installation

This installation will not work if you do not have the Unix Acrobat Reader5.0 or a higher version installed prior to this installation.

If you do not have Acrobat Reader 5.0 or a higher version already installedon your system,please do so before installing this Asian Language Kit.

Continue installation? [y]

根据提示，输入 Y

To accept the terms and conditions of this agreement enter "accept"

To decline the terms and conditions of this agreement enter "decline"

Please type "accept" to accept the terms and conditions license agreement;Type "decline" to exit.

根据提示，输入 accept 回车

Enter the location where you installed the Acrobat Reader[/usr/local/Acrobat5]

根据提示，回车即可

Installing...

Installing Common resources ... Done

Installing Simplified Chinese language resources ... Done

Installation completed.

13，现在，简体中文的支持已经安装完成，显示效果非常好

14，附录：

a，缺点是：目前为止，还没有查找功能，但是对于其他的 PDF 阅读器来说，已经非常好了

b，如果要卸载也非常简单，直接删除安装的目录即可

15，结束了。
