Introduction

As we all know that, there is a saying that “the greatness of a man lends a glory to a place”. I think it is because of all of you that the university really deserves it.

My name is GeGe and my English name is Ken, which means brave, wise and handsome.

I have finished my undergraduate education in NCWU, school of Electric Power.

My father is working as a supervising engineer in Jiangxi province. Just like my father I am diligent, aggressive and have broad interests like basketball, reading and especially in engineering. I believe that one’s success in not just about luck, what’s more, it is about hardworking and perseverance. Thus I come here today.

I am fond of programming language and have written some practical programs. During the past four years, I have accomplished the design of dynamically displaying my own name by assembly language and the harmonic wave detection of residential electricity use on line using Labview.

From some relative books about traffic identification, I get that process tomography (PT) is a widely available and flexible imaging technique that is a new measuring method applied in measuring multi-phase flow. The neural network can be applied to the modeling-reconstructing. Therefore my graduate project is something about neural network. It is transformer fault diagnosis based on neural network, which is in process.

In addition, during my college years, I was once the vice captain of SIFE team. During the periods, the great achievement is that we set up the team and participate in a contest in Beijing University successfully.

Four years’ university education gives me a lot of things to learn, a lot of chances to try, and a lot of practices to improve myself. It teaches me not only what to study and how to think, but also to see the importance of practical ability (such as doing experiments as much as possible). In the university life, I have made many good friends. They help me improve my study and research ability, do everything just like a man, and often give me good example to follow.  These experiences have urged me to develop active and responsible characters.

Reasons for my choice

There are several reasons for taking part in the entrance exams of postgraduate schools.

I have deeply impressed by the academic atmosphere. As we all know that, there is a saying that “the greatness of a man lends a glory to a place”. I think it is because of all of you that the university really deserves it. I love Tianjin University very much. I compare it as a boy, young, healthy and positive, a man, mature, sober and frank, an old man, sophisticated, kindly, and generous. This is the first reason.

The second is I am long for doing research in Detection Technology and Automatic Equipment. I know that I am not competent to do things professionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability. So I think further study is still urgent for me to realize self-value.

Plans in the postgraduate study

First I will improve my ability to write academic paper and make a good knowledge of how to do academic research and be a excellent scholar. Second I will form a systematic view of Detection technology and Automatic Equipment. If possible, I will go on with my study for doctoral degree. In a word, I am looking forward to making a solid foundation for future profession after three yeas’ study here.

Hometown

I am from @@ city, lying in the southern part of the Henan province. It is a beautiful city and has rich natural resources and many humanistic landscapes. My hometown is also the birth land of the double ninth Festival and the butterfly lovers. There is the largest artificial lake-Suya lake among plain terms in China. Visitors at home and abroad feel it is comfortable place to live. This is my beloved hometown.

Family

There five members in my family--my parents, sister. and brother, I am the youngest. My father is a supervising engineering working in Jiangxi province and my mother is at home. My elder sister is an angel in white and my brother is a Securities Analyst. What a happy family it is, I think.

University

NCWU is located in the northern part of Zhengzhou, near the Yellow river. There is a beautiful campus and it is developing into a comprehensive university with efforts of generations. There are teaching research experimental bases. For example, the computer center, modern education technical center and so on.
